Citizens can request assistance by phone or in person at select community centres

Since the reopening of Vaughan fitness centres and indoor pools, the City has been experiencing a higher than normal volume of calls and emails regarding the re-activation of memberships and online registration. The City is working to improve wait times and thanks members for their patience through this process.

In an effort to reduce barriers and enhance customer service for seniors, phone assistance and in-person appointments at select community centres are now available.

During these personalized touchpoints, community centre staff will help guide users through the process by:
  • re-activating a fitness or swim/aquafitness membership.
  • providing tutorials on how to navigate vaughan.perfectmind.com (including how to use the secure online payment system).
  • providing tutorials on how to book a fitness or swim session, or register for a recreation program.
Phone assistance is available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. In-person appointments are available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at select community centres, where operationally feasible.

To book an appointment, call your local community centre or Access Vaughan at 905-832-2281.

Appointments must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Patrons will be asked to provide their name, phone number and email address when booking an appointment. Those attending appointments are encouraged to bring their own mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet.

Appointments are available at community centres across the City, with the exception of Garnet A. Williams Community Centre, which is closed for renovations until 2023, Maple Community Centre, which is currently a COVID-19 vaccination clinic site, Rosemount Community Centre and Woodbridge Pool and Memorial Arena.

Access to community centres remains restricted and by appointment only.

Online registration for workout and swim sessions is required using the department’s new online registration system for recreation programs at vaughan.perfectmind.com. An active membership is required, otherwise a single visit fee applies. To re-activate a fitness or swim membership, email RecCSD@vaughan.ca or call Access Vaughan at 905-832-2281.
