Register to explore concepts of business resiliency, marketing and finance from Oct. 17 to 21

Vaughan is home to more than 19,000 small businesses that create local jobs and contribute to the city’s economic growth. To celebrate the innovations and achievements of local entrepreneurs, the City of Vaughan’s Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (VBEC) will host a variety of workshops and events – virtual and in-person – during Small Business Week, from Monday, Oct. 17 to Friday, Oct. 21, that explore concepts of business resiliency, marketing and finance, as they relate to entrepreneurship and starting or owning a business. Entrepreneurs and business owners can register at vaughanbusiness.ca/SBW to participate, connect and network with like-minded professionals.

The VBEC, in partnership with the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce (VCC), will be hosting an event to kick off Small Business Week – and all members of the Vaughan business community are invited to join! Attendees will enjoy a morning of networking, light refreshments, remarks from Jennifer Coletta Rashty, Interim President and CEO of the VCC, and hear from the Mayor. See further event details below:

  • Date: Monday, Oct. 17
  • Time: 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
  • Event location: Monte Carlo Inn – Vaughan Suites, located at 705 Applewood Cres.
