Vaughan recognizes Philippine Independence Day
Event celebrates 117th anniversary with a flag-raising at City Hall

WHAT:
To commemorate the 117th anniversary of Philippine Independence Day, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council will join the Filipino Canadian Association of Vaughan at a flag-raising ceremony on Sunday, June 7 at Vaughan City Hall. The City of Vaughan has had a Friendship Agreement with Baguio City, Philippines since 1997.
Following the flag-raising, a reception will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room at City Hall featuring Filipino food and entertainment.
