Vaughan's Fall and Winter Recreation Guide Offers Activities for Everyone

The City of Vaughan’s 2014/2015 Fall and Winter Recreation Guide will be delivered to Vaughan homes by the first week of August. The Recreation eGuide, which includes direct program links to online registration (vaughan.ca/RecOnline), and can be viewed at vaughan.ca/eGuide starting Aug. 1.
 
The award-winning publication features many opportunities for people of all ages and ability levels to engage in a healthy and active lifestyle. PA Day, special theme programs and December and March Break day camps, as well as pay-as-you-go and membership options for aquafitness, swimming, sports and fitness are available. Residents are encouraged to enjoy free fitness, swim and skate passes included in the Active Together section of the guide.

A number of City-related information pieces are being delivered along with the guide, including a Vaughan Culture Days pamphlet promoting the free cultural activities being offered on Sept. 27 and 28. The guide will be available at all community centres, libraries, the Joint Operations Centre and City Hall starting Aug 1. RecAssist, a fee assistance program subsidizing the cost of recreation and culture programs, is available to low-income individuals and families in Vaughan.
