Outdoor ice rinks are subject to unplanned closures due to varying environmental factors such as temperature, wind, ice thickness and precipitation (rain or snow). Staff assess rink ice surfaces throughout the day and if safety concerns arise during these assessments, the rink will be promptly closed to ensure everyone’s safety.

For the enjoyment and safety of all skaters, everyone is asked to follow the City’s Skating Rink Guidelines. Rinks are unsupervised unless otherwise stated in the recreational skating and shinny hockey schedule at vaughan.ca/skate.
