Join us tomorrow for the City of Vaughan’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony!
O, Christmas tree, O, Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches! The City of Vaughan is ready to light up the night at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) – and you’re invited!
This free, family-friendly celebration will feature greetings from Mayor Steven Del Duca, photos with Santa Claus, festive music and stage entertainment, hot chocolate, fun and interactive activities, and of course, the tree lighting countdown. You don’t want to miss out!
This annual event brings more than just holiday cheer to Vaughan families. It is also a reminder of the true meaning behind the season – to give back. The City is accepting donations for its 15th annual Toy Drive in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish until Friday, Dec. 13. Event attendees are invited to bring a new unwrapped toy for children aged newborn to 18 years old to help ensure everyone has a special holiday this year. All donations will be directed to the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, which supplies registered charitable organizations, social service agencies, churches and community centres throughout the Greater Toronto Area with new, unwrapped toys and financial donations.
