Be involved in Vaughan’s Culture Days celebration!
Submit an expression of interest to offer arts, culture and heritage programming during the festival this fall
The City of Vaughan is calling all artists, creators, local organizations and businesses to be part of Vaughan’s annual award-winning Culture Days celebration this fall! Submit an Expression of Interest form by noon on Friday, May 30 to facilitate free public events and activities in your community during Culture Days, taking place this year from Friday, Sept. 19 to Sunday, Oct. 12.
Each year, hundreds of artists and organizers participate in this three-week festival to offer inclusive programming for residents to enjoy. For the third year in a row, Vaughan has been selected as a Festival Hub for Ontario Culture Days, joining 12 other communities across the province. This provides a unique opportunity for the City to continue to foster cultural understanding and promote inclusivity while exploring various forms of art, music, dance and literature in Vaughan.
If you’re interested in this opportunity and want to learn more, you can attend an in-person information session on Tuesday, April 29 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall, Woodbridge Room (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) or attend a virtual session on Thursday, May 1, from noon to 1 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
In 2024, the City received a Silver Award from the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA)/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards for Best Community Outreach Program. This prestigious award recognizes the Festival Hub program's dedication to cultural diversity and inclusion during Ontario Culture Days 2024. Vaughan also ranked fifth nationally and second among mid-sized cities as a Top Participating Community in the 2024 Culture Days, with more than 80 events organized during last year’s celebration.
