The City of Vaughan has proclaimed February as Black History Month, a celebration that brings people together to pay tribute to the remarkable Black Canadians who have made a positive and enduring impact in the community, and highlight the richness of Black cultures and histories.

Following the recent major winter storms, the City of Vaughan’s crews continue cleanup efforts to address the large accumulation of snowfall – including on sidewalks throughout the community. Residents walking to school or work are urged to add extra time to their commute and take precautions on sidewalks.

The City’s Infrastructure Development and Public Works portfolios are hosting an Open House from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Vaughan Room in recognition of National Engineering Month, which is celebrated across Canada every March.
