Official Naming Ceremony of Cortellucci Square
You’re invited to join the City of Vaughan as we celebrate the official naming of Cortellucci Square!
This Ward 4 park, the first public park to open in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, offers a winter skating loop, splashpad and unique playgrounds. There are also benches, trees for shade, a pavilion with accessible restrooms, a community-use room for events and a Zamboni garage.
Don’t ‘flake’ on cleaning up litter!
The only thing sprinkled on the ground this winter should be snowflakes! Littering can make the winter even messier, so we're reminding everyone to take some simple steps to ensure Vaughan stays clean, safe and beautiful.
Unveil the Vaughan Gateway Sign and Menorah with us!
Join Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council to unveil the new permanent Vaughan Gateway Sign outside Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) – which will be accompanied by a menorah during Chanukah.
The event will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and feature greetings from Mayor Del Duca and free refreshments. Be sure to dress for the weather!

Accessibility for all. This is a commitment the City of Vaughan has made to all residents, visitors and employees with visible or non-visible disabilities.
One of the many ways we’re working to achieve this is by providing information in accessible formats so everyone, regardless of their abilities, can have an opportunity to learn about and stay informed on City news.
Keep waste collectors safe
Do not put sharp objects in bins or bags
Our crews work hard to collect your waste, and they shouldn’t have to worry about getting injured from sharp objects in bins or bags. To protect our collectors from getting hurt, please ensure your waste is set out properly and safely.
