Ring in the Persian New Year with Vaughan!

Our annual Nowruz celebration is on March 25 at Vaughan City Hall

Let’s celebrate the beginning of spring together! You’re invited to join Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council for the City of Vaughan’s second annual Nowruz celebration on Tuesday, March 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.).

This event will feature greetings from Mayor Del Duca, traditional musical and dance performances, and complimentary refreshments.

Nowruz, also known as the Persian New Year, marks the arrival of spring and unites communities around the world. This event honours the rich cultural heritage of the many communities that celebrate Nowruz, including Iranian, Afghan, Azerbaijani, Tajik, Kurdish, and other Central Asian peoples, as well as members of the Zoroastrian, Bahá’í, and Ismaili faiths. It also recognizes their significant contributions to Vaughan and beyond.

Pre-registration is encouraged. Confirm your attendance for the free event online.
