Vote early to avoid the rush

Advance voting starts Oct. 11
 
The City of Vaughan is encouraging residents to take advantage of advance voting from Oct. 11 to 18 and skip the lines on Voting Day – Oct. 22.
 
During the advance vote period, eligible voters can cast their ballot at any voting place regardless of the ward in which they live. There are eight convenient locations, including the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre and Highway 407 subways stations. Accessible voting devices will be available at City Hall throughout the eight-day advance vote period.
 
  • Vaughan City Hall: Oct. 11 to 18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Father E. Bulfon Community Centre: Oct. 11 to 18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Vellore Village Community Centre: Oct. 11 to 18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • North Thornhill Community Centre: Oct. 11 to 18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Dufferin Clark Community Centre: Oct. 11 to 18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Promenade Mall (near entrance 5):
    • Oct. 11 and 12, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Oct. 13, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Oct. 14, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Oct. 15 to 18, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Subway Station: Oct. 15 and 16, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Highway 407 Subway Station: Oct. 15 and 16, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
 
If residents would like to wait, Voting Day is on Oct. 22 with polls open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Select voting locations have reduced hours. Residents can find their voting location and hours on their voter information card or by visiting vaughan.ca/elections.
 
If an eligible voter is unable to vote on any of the available voting days, they may complete a proxy form to appoint another eligible voter to act as a proxy to vote for them.
 
All residents need to bring when they vote is their voter information card (if they received one) and one piece of identification with their name and address. Every vote counts and every vote matters. All voting results will be produced after the polls close on Oct. 22.
