Waste Collection Picked Up One Day Later During the Festive Season
The holiday season means a change of routine for everyone and that includes when garbage and recycling will be picked up in the City of Vaughan. For some residents, waste collection will be picked up one day later during the festive season.
Waste collections scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 25 will be picked up one day later on Friday, Dec. 26. Waste collections scheduled for Friday, Dec. 26 will be picked up one day later on Saturday, Dec. 27.
Waste collections scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 1 will be picked up one day later on Friday, Jan. 2. Waste collections scheduled for Friday, Jan. 2 will be picked up one day later on Saturday, Jan. 3.
Christmas tree pickup will take place from Tuesday, Jan. 6 to Friday, Jan. 16. Remember to remove all tinsel, ornaments, plastic bags and stands.
The festive season is a busy time for everyone and it’s important to remember to recycle in order to minimize the amount of waste created. Visit the City’s website for more information about what can and can’t go in the blue box and green bin.
