Do you want to help the community vote in the 2022
Municipal Election? The City of Vaughan is currently hiring for several key
temporary roles to ensure Voting Day on Monday, Oct. 24 runs smoothly.
The deadline to apply for a position in the 2022 Municipal Election
is Tuesday, Oct 11.
What positions are
available?
The City is hiring for
the following positions:
- Standby Officer
- Customer Service Officer
- Deputy Returning Officer
- Tabulator Deputy Returning Officer
- Managing Deputy Returning Officer
Who is eligible to work at a polling
station?
To be eligible to work at a polling station during the 2022
Municipal Election, you must:
- be at least 18 years of age or older on Voting Day, Monday, Oct. 24.
- be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- have received a full series of COVID-19 vaccines in accordance with the City of Vaughan's COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
How can I apply?
Visit vaughan.ca/elections to submit an online application form by Tuesday, Oct. 11. You
must be fully vaccinated and will be required to show proof of vaccination when
applying. Training will be provided by City staff.
I require accessibility
accommodations. Can I still apply for a position and will my needs be met?
All
voting locations in Vaughan are accessible. Entrances
are close to parking lots and are marked with the universal access symbol. If
you apply to work at a polling station on Voting Day and require accommodations,
contact Election Services at electionjobs@vaughan.ca.
