What’s open and closed in Vaughan over the Easter weekend
With many residents observing Good Friday and Easter this weekend, the City of Vaughan is reminding everyone of facility closures, modified hours and alternate programming from Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 1. Here is all you need to know to plan ahead so you can spend quality time with family, friends and loved ones.
Municipal facilities
Most facilities – including Vaughan City Hall – will be closed from Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 1, reopening on Tuesday, April 2. Essential services, such as fire and emergency response and by-law and enforcement services, will continue uninterrupted. Non-essential administrative services will resume on Tuesday, April 2, by phone, email, online and in person.
While the City’s in-person contact centre will be closed from Friday, March 29 to Monday, April 1, a live agent will be available by phone at 905-832-2281 to respond to municipal emergencies.
For information about City programs and services, or to report by-law infractions, connect with Service Vaughan online, at 905-832-2281 or service@vaughan.ca.
Community centres and recreational programming
Vaughan community centres will be closed on Friday, March 29 and Sunday, March 31. Recreation programs and swim lessons, as well as drop-in recreational activities, will not run on those days. Programs and services will proceed as scheduled on Saturday, March 30 and Monday, April 1.
For more information, including a list of recreational programs and activities available, visit vaughan.ca/recreation. If you require assistance registering, call Service Vaughan at 905-832-2281 or email rec@vaughan.ca.
