With the Victoria Day long weekend approaching, you may be getting ready to make holiday plans with friends and family. The City of Vaughan is reminding you about facility closures and alternate hours on Monday, May 20.

Here is everything you need to know:

Municipal facilities

Most facilities – including City Hall – will be closed on Monday, May 20, reopening on Tuesday, May 21. Essential services, such as fire and emergency response and by-law and enforcement services, will continue uninterrupted. Non-essential administrative services will resume on Tuesday, May 21, by phone, email, online and in person.

While the City’s in-person contact centre will be closed on Monday, May 20, a live agent will be available by phone at 905-832-2281 to respond to municipal emergencies.

Community centres and recreational programming

Community centres will be closed on Monday, May 20 and will reopen on Tuesday, May 21. There will be no recreation programs, swim lessons or drop-in recreational activities on Victoria Day. Programs and services will run as scheduled on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19.
