YMCA Child Care Centre Opens at Vaughan City Hall
May 13, 2014
The City of Vaughan celebrated the official opening today of the new YMCA child care centre at City Hall.
Following a competitive selection process, the City signed a five-year contract with the YMCA of Greater Toronto in 2013 to operate the child care centre. The 5,605-square-foot facility features program and activity rooms, staff offices and an outdoor play area. The space has been designed to reflect the YMCA’s unique play-based learning curriculum and can accommodate 52 children.
QUOTE
“It’s wonderful to see this new facility become a part of our City Hall. The addition of a child care centre is a service that will be welcomed by City staff and residents, and will provide children in our community with access to high-quality licensed child care programming. The YMCA has a long history of providing quality programs for families and children and we are pleased that they are bringing this valuable service to our community.”
