Your business can make a positive social impact
Apply for Vaughan’s Better Your Business program by April 30
Do you own or operate a business in the city of Vaughan and want to make a positive impact in the community? Through the Better Your Business program, the Vaughan Business and Entrepreneurship Centre (VBEC) will offer four local organizations the training and tools needed to become more socially and environmentally sustainable!
Applications for the 2025 cohort are now open at vaughanbusiness.ca/BetterYourBusiness until Wednesday, April 30. Only four spots are available – and applications fill up fast – so apply today!
The Better Your Business program is designed to increase awareness of the resources available to help Vaughan’s business community improve their processes, practices and policies, and ensure they are socially and environmentally responsible. Working together with entrepreneurs, the program guides businesses on their journey to implement and maintain these practices to create a more sustainable city.
The program offers one-on-one consultations with York University professor Dr. Mark Terry, who will help guide the development of a new sustainable business model to incorporate the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. If selected, businesses will have the opportunity to share their newly developed sustainable business plan with the United Nations. Upon program completion, a certificate is also provided to acknowledge the businesses’ leadership and commitment to being socially and environmentally sustainable.
