About the Black Creek Renewal Project
The Black Creek Renewal Project is the City’s forward-looking action plan to mitigate flooding in the VMC, as development continues in the downtown core. The project enables the City to implement effective flood control measures, enhance the natural heritage system and beautify the public realm through the VMC’s Black Creek area, between Highway 7 and Highway 407.
Michael Coroneos joined the City of Vaughan in 2018 as the Chief Financial Officer and City Treasurer before becoming Deputy City Manager of Corporate Services, Chief Financial Officer and City Treasurer in 2019. In his role, he remains committed to providing all departments with the support they need to champion transparency, accountable decision-making and responsible financial management.

Mr. Arnott has devoted his time to a number of volunteer organizations, including serving as director of the Kleinburg and Area Ratepayers Association for 15 years, and a member of the Binder Twine Festival.
