Beat The Heat - Vaughan Opens Cooling Centres

Due to extreme temperatures, the City of Vaughan has announced the opening of a number of cooling centres across the City, effective June 8, 2011. The City is extending hours of operations for all community centres and splash pads in response to the hot weather.
 
Community centre hours are being extended to 11 p.m. at five centres across the City. Community centres are air conditioned and are equipped with water fountains. Splash pads will be open until 11 p.m. Most City swimming pools are available during regular hours.
