Do parks matter? We want to hear from you!
Do you enjoy visiting Vaughan’s greenspaces like parks, trails and woodlots? If so, help us plan for their future by getting involved in the City of Vaughan’s Greenspace Strategic Plan!
This plan will evaluate the current state of Vaughan’s local parks and greenspaces – including pedestrian pathways, urban forests, valleys, wetlands, open space areas and naturalized areas – and provide strategies and recommendations to build, plan, design and maintain these areas.
Now in the second phase of engagement, the City is once again seeking input from residents on the emerging vision and goals and how greenspace should be provided and distributed in Vaughan. Have your say by answering questions like:
What types of parks would you like to see in Vaughan?
How should parks and greenspaces work to better support communities both now and into the future?
- How can the City make parks and greenspaces more accessible and inclusive for everyone?
- How does greenspace protect natural systems and support growing communities?
There are many ways to participate. Here’s how:

About the Greenspace Strategic Plan
In Phase 1, the City engaged residents to gather their ideas and insights on Vaughan greenspaces. This was compiled through online surveys, a community walk, stakeholder meetings and pop-ups. A Greenspace Strategic Plan Stakeholder Advisory Group was also created. All feedback collected contributed to the development of the city-wide greenspace vision and priorities.
