Find out how we’re investing in local talent
Learn about the Talent City Vaughan program
Do you represent a non-profit community or social service organization? Are you interested in offering training programs for residents or employees of Vaughan-based businesses? If so, you’re invited to learn more about the City of Vaughan’s Talent City Vaughan program before applications open.
Interested individuals are invited to attend a virtual program information session at noon on Thursday, March 13 or Monday, April 14, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. to learn more. Registration is required.
With a broad scope of skill-development opportunities, the Talent City Vaughan program aims to strengthen the city’s workforce by encouraging organizations and employers to invest in local talent. The program offers financial support – micro-grants of up to $10,000 – to external organizations that provide opportunities for residents or employees of Vaughan-based businesses to enhance their skill sets and is designed to deliver training that meets the needs of the city’s growing economy.
In 2024, Talent City Vaughan disbursed funding to eight social and community service organizations that hosted training programs for nearly 200 Vaughan residents and employees of Vaughan-based businesses.
Applications open on Tuesday, April 1 and close on Wednesday, April 30. For more information about the program and to apply, visit vaughanbusiness.ca/TalentCityVaughan.
