Happy Canada Day, Vaughan!

Come and enjoy live entertainment at Boyd Conservation Park

You’re invited! Come out and celebrate Canada’s 155th birthday at one of the largest parties in York Region. The City of Vaughan’s award-winning annual Canada Day event is back in-person and there is fun to be had. The 2022 celebration is being hosted at Boyd Conservation Park (8739 Islington Ave.) from 2 p.m. to  8 p.m. and will be headlined by multiple JUNO Award nominee Scott Helman.

Exciting live entertainment hosted by Julia Suppa, an award-winning, multi-platform media professional, is planned throughout the day. The full live entertainment schedule includes:
  • Scott Helman, Canadian singer/songwriter and multiple JUNO Award nominee artist
  • David James, Canadian country music singer/songwriter 
  • Olivia Lunny, Canadian musician and winner of CTV’s The Launch
  • Stuck On Planet Earth, Canadian rock band from Vaughan
  • Exodus – A Tribute to Bob Marley
  • Kreative in Dance Styles (K.I.D.S)
To kick off the festivities, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council will extend greetings along with Gimaa (Chief) Stacey Laforme of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

Limited parking is available at the event site. Guests are encouraged to ride the free shuttle bus services  between Al Palladini Community Centre (9201 Islington Ave.) and Boyd Conservation Park (8739 Islington Ave.). The service will run regularly until 9 p.m.
