Help plan Vaughan’s parks and greenspaces!
Do you enjoy visiting Vaughan’s parks and greenspaces? If so, help us plan for their future by getting involved in the City of Vaughan’s Greenspace Strategic Plan!
This plan will evaluate the current state of Vaughan’s local parks and greenspaces – including pedestrian pathways, urban forests, valleys, wetlands, open space areas and naturalized areas – and provide strategies and recommendations to build, plan, design, construct and enhance these areas.
Now in the third and final phase of engagement, we’re sharing key components of the draft Greenspace Strategic Plan and seeking your input on the below themes before it’s finalized:
Improving greenspace connectivity: How we’ll strive to build connections between and within parks and greenspaces.
Growing our greenspace network: How we’ll prioritize the expansion of the greenspace network in areas of the city that need it most.
Diverse greenspace experiences: How we’ll provide amenities that create a cohesive greenspace system.

Take a survey
Learn more and share thoughts by taking an online survey available until Friday, Nov. 8 at vaughan.ca/GreenspacePlan.
Speak to the project team
Attend one of two pop-ups to speak directly with the project team:
Monday, Oct. 28 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Vellore Village Community Centre (1 Villa Royale Ave.), in the main hallway.
Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the North Thornhill Community Centre (300 Pleasant Ridge Ave.), in the main hallway.
Visit a display
Until Friday, Nov. 8, explore a self-guided display at one of the following community centres or library branches:
