Upgrades and repairs coming to Vaughan trails and walkways
With the warm spring weather upon us, more people are out exploring Vaughan’s many park trails and walkways. Our crews are committed to keeping these spaces in tip-top shape so everyone can enjoy them safely. In fact, crews are currently repairing more than 30 park trails and walkways across the community.
As soon as the snow melts, City staff begin inspecting more than 1,000 kilometres of sidewalks for areas requiring repairs. These repairs are prioritized based on their condition and can include anything from grinding trip hazards to completely removing and replacing sections of sidewalks.
Over the next few months, select park trails and walkways will be temporarily closed as crews repair asphalt and concrete surfaces. Your patience is greatly appreciated as these locations undergo improvements. For the complete list of locations identified for maintenance, visit vaughan.ca/seasonal.
Please note that only certain areas within these locations will be undergoing improvements – not entire parks.
