Improvements are coming to Velmar Downs Park!

Velmar Downs Park is getting an upgrade! 

The City of Vaughan is improving the playground, renovating the basketball court and adding a new shade structure to the park.

Want to learn more about what’s coming, see the proposed design and playground options, and have a say on future improvements? 

Join us at an Open House! 

Speak to the project team on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the Al Palladini Community Centre (9201 Islington Ave.) anytime from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Join us in Activity Room #1. 

Can’t attend? Take the online survey! 

The survey will be available from Friday, Nov. 29 to Thursday, Dec. 12 at vaughan.ca/parks.

Input collected will help inform the final plan, which will be developed by early 2025. Construction in the park, which is at 30 Velmar Dr. in Ward 3, is anticipated to begin by the end of 2025.
