Nominations are open for the Volunteer Recognition Awards

Submit by March 22 to recognize someone who makes a positive difference in Vaughan  

 
Do you know someone who made a positive difference in the community in 2022? Nominate them for the City of Vaughan’s Volunteer Recognition Awards!
 
The City is calling on Vaughan-based not-for-profit organizations and community groups to put forward one outstanding volunteer whose passion and actions have made a significant impact on the health and well-being of the community.
 
They will be recognized for their generous community service, which has contributed to the high quality of life in Vaughan and beyond.
 
Here is the criteria to be nominated :
  • Only one volunteer may be nominated from each organization
  • There are two age categories: youth (13 to 24 years old) or adult (25 years or older)
  • Nominator must be a member on the governing board of the organization to nominate
  • Volunteers may not nominate themselves
  • The volunteer may not be in receipt of any direct/indirect compensation
  • The nominee or the nominating organization must be located in Vaughan
  • The organization must be supporting Vaughan in some capacity
 
Nominations will be accepted until Wednesday, March 22. To submit a nomination, visit vaughan.ca/VolunteerAwards.
 
This year, the City will honour outstanding volunteers of 2022 at a ceremony at Vaughan City Hall on Wednesday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. During the event, recipients will receive a certificate and lapel pin from Mayor Steven Del Duca and congratulations from Members of Council.
