With only one week left to submit nominations, the City is calling on Vaughan-based non-profit organizations and community groups to put forward one outstanding volunteer whose passion and actions have made a distinct positive impact on the community.
Nominations will be accepted until Thursday, March 21. To submit a nomination, visit vaughan.ca/VolunteerAwards.
Here is the nomination criteria:
- Only one volunteer may be nominated from each organization.
- Volunteers may be youth or adults (13 years of age or order).
- The nominator must be a member on the governing board of the organization to submit a nomination.
- Volunteers may not nominate themselves.
- The volunteer may not be in receipt of any direct or indirect compensation.
- The nominee or the nominating organization must be located in Vaughan.

This year, the City will honour the outstanding volunteers of 2023 at a special ceremony at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) on Monday, April 15 at 7 p.m. During the event, recipients will receive a certificate and lapel pin from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council.
