You can search for hotels with meeting space, find unique venues and scope out sports facilities in Vaughan – all with the click of a button. The website provides hundreds of reputable local suppliers and businesses, including transportation, catering, décor and entertainment, and has exactly what you need to plan and deliver next-level events in the city.
 
With an “at your service” feature, hostinvaughan.ca connects you with Tourism Vaughan’s support team who fosters a creative and community-led effort to host meetings, conventions, marquee events, sport competitions and more. Here are a few ways they can help:
 
  • Compelling bids: Provide complimentary request for proposal service and support to create customized bid documents as well as a hosting strategy for associations and organizing committees.
  • Efficient site selection: Identify venues, hotels and meeting space through the online search tools or work with the Tourism Vaughan team to confirm availability, co-ordinate site visits or plan a familiarization tour.
  • Local partnerships: Act as a point of contact with community groups and help engage with local industry partners to sponsor or support programs and events.
  • Unique experiences: Customize your program with premiere attractions. Tourism Vaughan can recommend packages, ticket offers and exclusive activities for your group.
  • Attendance-building: Provide support with sharing your story and driving attendance through marketing communications, promotion tools and media support.

Marriage licences
Remember! If your next big day is a wedding, plan for an efficient experience to obtain a marriage licence from the Office of the City Clerk at Vaughan City Hall. Marriage licences are available on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All licence applications need to be submitted by 4:15 p.m. to allow for processing time.
 
Residents must present the following at their appointment for the marriage licence to be issued:
  • Marriage Licence Application form (PDF), completed and signed by both applicants. To save time, this application should be filled out and completed before visiting Vaughan City Hall
  • Two pieces of original government-issued identification for both applicants, such as a birth certificate, passport, driver’s licence or Ontario photo identification card. Photocopies of documentation are not accepted
  • Licence fee of $180.70, which can be made payable to the City of Vaughan via cheque, debit, Visa or MasterCard
  • Proof of minimum age requirements. Applicants under 18 years of age require written consent from their legal guardian(s)
