Spreading holiday cheer in Vaughan!
The City’s 13th annual Toy Drive in support of the CP24
CHUM Christmas Wish runs until Dec. 9
Today, the City of Vaughan kicked off its 13th annual Toy Drive
in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish. The City will be collecting toys
and donations across Vaughan until Friday, Dec. 9.
All
donations will be directed to the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, which supplies
registered charitable organizations, social service agencies, churches and
community centres with new, unwrapped toys and financial donations throughout
the Greater Toronto Area.
New
unwrapped toys for children aged newborn to 18 years old can be dropped off at
any of the following Vaughan locations daily:
- Vaughan City Hall
- All community centres, except Garnet A. Williams Community Centre, which is currently under renovation
- All Vaughan Public Libraries branches
- All local fire stations
In
addition to in-person drop-offs, donations can also be made by mailing in a gift
card or cheque. Cheques can be made payable to “CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish” and dropped
off or mailed to Vaughan City Hall c/o Recreation Services – Events Division,
Level 300, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr., Vaughan, ON, L6A 1T1.
Since
2010, the City has collected more than 141,000 toys and raised more than $126,000
in donations for the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish.
