Vaughan Celebrates Entrepreneurship with Small Business Week

The City of Vaughan is celebrating Small Business Week from Oct. 20 to 24 with five days of events, including free information sessions, business seminars, workshops and creative presentations.
 
Vaughan Small Business Week, which is expected to draw more than 600 participants, celebrates the success of entrepreneurs as the fuel for business innovation in the local economy. It is a platform for Vaughan’s business community to learn, collaborate and be a catalyst for innovation.
 
Highlights of the week include: 
  • Finance symposiummeet with financial institutions to learn about the funding programs available for your small business 
  • Import and export opportunities seminargain insight on navigating trade with the U.S.
  • Young entrepreneurship night – celebrate the accomplishments of young entrepreneurs, hear success stories from local young entrepreneurs and learn about funding and business support programs
  • Innovation showcase – learn how to build a business out of an invention and discover the steps to succeed in innovation
  • Media and marketing forum learn about the trends in communications from marketing experts 
Small Business Week is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development Employment and Infrastructure. This year’s event in Vaughan is hosted by the Vaughan Business Enterprise Centre (VBEC), local business associations, chambers and non-profit organizations.
