Vaughan Celebrates Garden Season with Seedy Saturday at City Hall

The City of Vaughan, in partnership with Seeds for Change and York Region Food Network, will host Seedy Saturday on March 1 at Vaughan City Hall. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 
Seedy Saturday will feature a diverse group of guest lecturers speaking on the issues of sustainable food and gardening. This free event aims to bring garden enthusiasts together to buy, sell and trade organic and heirloom seeds for vegetables, herbs, flowers and native species.
 
The event also features:
  • Fresh, locally sourced food
  • Activities for kids
  • A community seed exchange
  • Door prizes
  • Garden vendors
  • A special live broadcast of TEDxManhattan’s Changing the Way We Eat
