Vaughan Community Centres Offer March Break Activities and Camps

The City of Vaughan is offering a variety of March Break drop-in activities and camps at participating recreation facilities from March 7 to 16.
Free recreational swimming, sponsored by Tim Hortons, is available at Al Palladini, Chancellor, Dufferin Clark, Father E. Bulfon, Garnet A. Williams, Maple, North Thornhill and Vellore Village pools at select times during the week. Free supervised skating at outdoor rinks across the City is also available, weather permitting. Community centre game rooms are open at varying times and offer entertainment such as Wii, Xbox, pool tables, foosball, air hockey and ping pong.
Other activities available for a nominal fee include indoor recreational skating and shinny hockey, bocce, basketball, volleyball, badminton, bowling, yoga, power cycling, zumba, Pilates and aquafitness. Vaughan fitness centres are also open to residents 13 years and older. Amenities include cardio and strength-training equipment, squash courts, running tracks and fitness classes.
A variety of registered camps, including five-day and single-day camps and two-hour workshops for children, are available at select centres. March Break programming includes Break March Up, Leaders by Example, March Madness, Monkeynastix, Teen Fitness, as well as Young Rembrandts Jr: Under the Sea, Princess and Transportation workshops. Activities range from arts and crafts, games and drama to music, sports and swimming. Optional extended day camp is available, starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. Register online at vaughan.ca/RecOnline.
