Vaughan Recognizes National Public Works Week with Special Event

May 22, 2013

The City of Vaughan is celebrating National Public Works Week by inviting residents to attend the annual Public Works Day event on Saturday, May 25. National Public Works Week from May 19 to 25 is intended to highlight the essential services public works professionals provide to residents.

“Because of Public Works…” is the 2013 National Public Works Week theme and it recognizes the high quality of life public works professionals bring to communities across the country. Vaughan Public Works provides many essential services including road repair, street sweeping, water quality and distribution, sewer maintenance, waste and recycling collection, traffic signal and street light maintenance, and winter road operations.
