The Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) helps advance critical developments through effective bilateral government agreements

Today, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council joined Vaughan-Woodbridge MP Francesco Sorbara, King-Vaughan MPP Minister Stephen Lecce, Vaughan Public Library Board Members and members of the public to open the newly revitalized Maple Library and Community Centre. The project was granted more than $9 million in funding through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) and is among five applications for which the City has been awarded a total of more than $14 million.

As a result, five projects were submitted and approved for funding, including the Maple Library and Community Centre Revitalization, Vaughan Fire Hall 7-1 Zero Carbon Building Renewal, city-wide COVID-19 Safety Mitigation Measures, North Maple Regional Park Trail Development and Improving Urban Forest Strom Resiliency.
