Now in its second year, the Community Conservation Awards are presented to municipalities in Ontario for their efforts in the following areas:
- Conservation leadership
- Innovation and market transformation
- Corporate/internal and community engagement

Participating municipalities were required to provide a written submission outlining their conservation efforts along with a case study highlighting their conservation initiatives. The City of Vaughan is among eight provincial finalists for this year’s awards.
