Accessible playgrounds and sports amenities are just some of the features of Eagles Landing Park, Vaughan’s newest green space. Members of Council were joined by residents to mark the official opening of the park on May 28.

“As one of the fastest growing cities in the country with an impressive standard of living, we understand the importance of providing and maintaining the amenities residents enjoy and parks are a big part of that,” Mayor Bevilacqua said. “The City of Vaughan is focused on accessibility, active living and we are proud to provide a variety of recreational opportunities that foster community growth and where children, friends and neighbours can get to know each other.”

Eagles Landing Park features senior and junior playgrounds with accessible wood fibre surfacing, junior softball diamond, play court with basketball hoops, seating plaza and a shade structure. It is located at 180 Sir Benson Drive, near Dufferin Street and Major Mackenzie Drive.

"Eagles Landing Park is a great addition to this growing area of our City, and a place I know the residents of our community will come to appreciate as a local gathering place,” said Ward 4 Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco. "With accessible playgrounds and pedestrian pathways, this park features a variety of opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the outdoors, and it certainly will become a focal point for the surrounding neighbourhood.”

Eagles Landing Park is located at 180 Sir Benson Drive in Maple.
