Victoria Day holiday closures

Please be advised of
the following City of Vaughan facility closures, alternate hours and change in
programming for the Victoria Day statutory holiday on Monday, May 20:
Municipal facilities
City offices at Vaughan
City Hall and the Joint Operations Centre will be closed on Monday, May 20. Municipal
facilities will reopen on Tuesday, May 21.
Community centres and recreational programming
All City community
centres will be open during regular business hours on Saturday, May 18 and
Sunday, May 19, and closed on Monday, May 20 for the Victoria Day holiday. To
view weekend hours and programming at each community centre, visit the Holiday
Central page at vaughan.ca/recreation.
Splash pads and water play parks will be open on weekends beginning Saturday,
May 18. As of Saturday, June 1, these areas will be open daily until Tuesday, Sept.

Great Walks of Vaughan
nature trails and community walks are open to explore. Visit vaughan.ca/GreatWalks for additional
information, including maps, locations, distances, scavenger hunt tools and
more.
Vaughan Animal Services
Vaughan Animal Services,
including the Vaughan Animal Shelter located at 70 Tigi Ct., will be closed on Monday,
May 20. The shelter will reopen on Tuesday, May 21. For more information, visit

Vaughan Public Libraries
Vaughan Public
Libraries are closed on Monday, May 20 and will reopen on Tuesday, May 21. Feel
free to explore the libraries’ digital
service offerings, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, music, movies and

Waste collection
Regular waste collection
will not be affected. Learn more about the City of Vaughan’s 2019 waste
collection schedule, including holiday collections, at vaughan.ca/waste.
Access Vaughan
The City’s contact
centre will be closed on Monday, May 20. However, a live agent will be
available to respond to municipal emergencies. For additional information about
holiday hours, City programs and municipal services over the holiday weekend,
please call Access
Vaughan at 905-832-2281. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday,
8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
