Vote for Trustee, Vaughan Wards 1 and 2

April 25 is voting day for the 2019 York Region District School Board By-election, advance dates on April 23 and 24
 
Vaughan Wards 1 and 2: get ready to select your York Region District School Board (YRDSB) Trustee. Voting Day for the by-election is Thursday, April 25, but eligible voters don’t have to wait until then – vote early on Tuesday, April 23 or Wednesday, April 24.
 
Voting is easy and convenient in the city of Vaughan. Eligible voters can cast their ballot at any one of the five voting locations within Wards 1 and 2 as early as 10 a.m. Polls will be open until 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, and until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25.
 
The City of Vaughan also ensures every voting location is fully accessible.
 
The Voter Information Card – mailed to eligible voters in Wards 1 and 2 – has everything residents need to know to vote, including advance vote days, polling locations, what to bring and what times the polls are open. If an eligible voter did not receive a Voter Information Card, they can still vote. With appropriate identification, such as a driver’s licence, residents will be added to the voters’ list in person at any polling station.
 
The 2019 YRDSB By-election is being held to fill the vacant position of Trustee, Vaughan Ward 1 and 2. The Trustee is elected by residents, is responsible for helping set operational policies for all public schools in York Region, is guided by the Education Act and typically serves a four-year term. The current term will end November 2022.
