Watermain Break Affects Keele Street South of Langstaff Road

A watermain break has affected Keele Street in both directions between Rivermede Road and Langstaff Road and has caused significant damage to Keele Street.
Keele Street will be re-opened with lane closures before the afternoon rush hour begins. There will be electronic message boards placed in the area advising motorists of the lane closures.
The City of Vaughan and the Region of York continue to work to assess the damage and identify the required repairs to both road and water infrastructure.
Water service has been disrupted to seven industrial/commercial properties on Keele Street between Langstaff Road and Bowes Road. Local traffic is being permitted to access the affected properties.
