Tonight, five recipients were recognized for their efforts to make Vaughan a great place to live, work and visit. Mayor Steven Del Duca presided over the City of Vaughan’s 2023 Order of Vaughan investiture ceremony at Vaughan City Hall this evening. The Order of Vaughan is the highest civic honour the City of Vaughan may bestow on individuals who exemplify extraordinary citizenship and better the community.

The City of Vaughan is working to connect a key link in the Humber Trail, closing the gap between Clarence Street and both Islington Avenue and Woodbridge Avenue, through the construction of a new bridge and pathways in the park – but there’s more in the works!

You submitted, you voted and now … the results are in! This morning, live on The Weather Network, Mayor Steven Del Duca and the City of Vaughan’s Public Works team officially revealed the 10 winning snowplow names as part of our first-ever Name the Plow initiative – and it was ‘snow’ successful!

Celebrate with Mayor Del Duca and Members of Council on Nov. 20

To mark Diwali, Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council invite you to join them in celebration on Monday, Nov. 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.). 

The first-ever event will feature greetings from Mayor Del Duca, traditional music and dance performances, and complimentary refreshments.
