New framework strengthens accountability and openness
As part of the City of Vaughan’s commitment to transparency and accountability, a Lobbyist Registry has been implemented, effective Jan. 1. Lobbying activities can be registered through an online portal on a voluntary basis for 2017 to educate and train stakeholders. The Lobbyist Registry is anticipated to become mandatory in 2018.
In preparation for Canada’s milestone 150th birthday in 2017, the City of Vaughan is dreaming big about our country and our community. A year-long community celebration is being planned, and will include a wide range of engaging and creative activities for everyone to enjoy.
