The City of
Vaughan remains committed to maintaining the competitiveness of the local
economy throughout the global pandemic and beyond. On Feb. 15, Mayor Maurizio
Bevilacqua and Members of Council took the next step in supporting the business
community by endorsing Advantage Vaughan, Phase 3 of the
City’s economic development response to COVID-19.

Vaughan recognizes the importance of protecting citizens from the global COVID-19
pandemic while also continuing to move the city forward. Supporting this
direction, electronic participation for Committee of the Whole, Council and
task force meetings will continue next month.

Stormwater ponds may look safe to skate on – but they are not! The City of Vaughan is reminding citizens that stormwater ponds are not designed or intended for recreational use, such as skating or sledding – no activities on this ice are safe.
