Mayor Bevilacqua accepts PM's apology for the Internment of Italian Canadians during WWII

This dark chapter in Canada's history should not be forgotten
 
The following statement was issued by Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua in response to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's formal apology in the House of Commons regarding the internment of Italian Canadians during the Second World War:
 
"Today, I join Italian Canadians and everyone affected by this tragedy in welcoming Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's formal apology in the House of Commons.
