Learn about bin exchanges, garbage tag purchase options and much more!

Do you need to replace a damaged blue box or green bin but don’t know your options?  Or maybe you want to purchase a new one? And what about garbage tags? The City of Vaughan is here to provide information on all things waste bins!

Bin exchanges
The City offers free blue box and green bin exchanges for damaged City-issued bins. Simply sign up online to exchange your broken blue box or green bin for a new one at vaughan.ca/ServiceVaughan under the “Garbage and Recycling” section. From there, you will be directed to login to your account or register for an account in order to sign up for the bin exchange.

Once a scheduled exchange is confirmed, ensure the damaged bin is placed in a garbage bag and remains empty so collectors know it’s part of your waste set-out.

Bin purchases
