WHAT:           
The Honourable Maurizio Bevilacqua, Mayor of the City of Vaughan, will preside over the Order of Vaughan investiture ceremony on Wednesday, Dec.  12 at 7 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall.
 
Recipients include: Maria Castro, Michael DeGasperis, Altaf Stationwala, and Robert Charles Wilson. Learn more about the 2018 Order of Vaughan recipients.
 
The Order of Vaughan inaugural ceremony took place in 2016 to mark Vaughan’s 25th anniversary. The award was created by Mayor Bevilacqua to pay tribute to leaders who have dedicated their time, talent and treasure to the city’s ongoing success. It recognizes people within the following categories: arts and entertainment, media and communications, athletics, health and wellness, business, philanthropy, public service, education, science and technology, not-for-profit, equity and diversity, accessibility, environment and spirituality.
