There is still time to register your kids for March Break camps!

March Break is just around the corner, and if you don’t have plans yet, the City of Vaughan has your kids covered for a week filled with fun and learning! There is still time to register for camps, which take place from Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15.

Take a look at some of our exciting programs available during the break. 

Enrichment camps

• Hands-on Robotics (for kids aged nine to 13 years old): Delivered in partnership with Logic Fusion, participants will learn how to build and program a robot using the newest LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime system with LEGO bricks, motors and sensors. Only two spots available – register now!

• Roblox Game Design: Mario Galaxy (for kids aged nine to 14 years old): Delivered in partnership with Logic Fusion, participants will design their own Mario Galaxy-style game. Build a Mario Galaxy-like 3D platforming game where Mario will have to beat smart enemies, overcome obstacles, and earn power-ups along the way. Young gamers will level up their key game development and coding skills. Only two spots available at Garnet A. Williams Community Centre and only one spot at Maple Community Centre!

Sports and recreation camps

• Sports All Day (for kids aged seven to 12 years old): Participants will take their game to the next level practicing daily athletic drills and recreational scrimmaging in basketball, soccer, ball hockey and volleyball — with a focus on physical fitness, fair play and sportsmanship. Co-operative games complement the sports play. Only one spot available at Al Palladini Community Centre – register now!

• Conquer the court: squash (for kids aged nine to 14 years old): Participants learn to play squash from a pro – from game rules and tactics to practicing stroke techniques through drills tailored to individual ability. Off the court, campers will challenge themselves during fitness activities and get cross-training and nutrition advice to strengthen their game. Only one spot available at  Maple Community Centre and limited spots available at Al Palladini Community Centre!

• Sticks and Steel (for kids aged six to 12 years old): Does your child play house league hockey? Do you want them to develop their existing hockey skills in an affordable way? Through instruction and high-tempo drills, this hockey camp gives players the best chance to develop basic skills such as stickhandling, making and receiving passes on both forehand and backhand, shooting, stride/edge control and skating speed. Only six spots available at Woodbridge Pool & Memorial Arena – register now!

• March Madness: Senior (for kids aged seven to 12 years old): Experience March Break to the max with five fun-filled days of camp activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, dancing, themed activities and outdoor play (weather permitting). Only one spot available at Chancellor Community Centre – register now!

• Learn to love skate (for kids aged six to 12 years old): Participants will learn skating basics such as balance, control and gliding on two feet. Themed activities and a variety of sports make for a fun-filled day. One hour a day is dedicated to instructional skate. This camp in offered at various locations and caters to different skill levels:
  • Garnet A. Williams Community Centre – only one spot available – register now!
  • Maple Community Centre (intermediate) – register now!
  • Rosemount Community Centre (advanced) – register now!
  • Woodbridge Pool and Memorial Arena (advanced) – register now!
