Vaughan is ready for winter
 
There is snow in the forecast today and the City of Vaughan is ready for it. With more than 100 vehicles dedicated to removing snow and ice from roads and sidewalks, citizens travelling in Vaughan are in great hands this winter.
 
The City operates an extensive winter services and road maintenance program to keep the public safe during the winter months.

Every November, we come together to remember and pay tribute to the men and women who have served with dignity to help preserve freedom both at home and abroad. The City of Vaughan is encouraging residents to visit City Hall to leave a message on the poppy mural in honour of those who have kept our country safe while upholding the values of peace and justice throughout the world.

Mayor Bevilacqua presents first official Key to the City

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua presented Vaughan’s first official Key to the City to the Honourable Laura Boldrini, President of the Chamber of Deputies in Italy, during her official visit to Canada on Oct. 19. Boldrini is the head of the Italian Lower House and one of the highest-ranking officials in the country.

Share your ideas for Vaughan’s official motto

City is calling on residents to submit ideas for new Coat of Arms
 
The City of Vaughan has a rich history and strong civic pride. To pay tribute to this heritage, the Canadian Heraldic Authority is granting Vaughan a Coat of Arms. This honour is bestowed by the Canadian Crown under the powers exercised by the Governor General of Canada to recognize how the community has been shaped.
