As part of the City of Vaughan’s commitment to advancing a culture of excellence in governance, a mandatory Lobbyist Registry was introduced in January 2018. It tracks communication between public officials, people, organizations or businesses that have the intention to affect changes to legislation, regulations, programs and more.

The City of Vaughan has a bold vision for the future and is determined to achieve its goals through thoughtful planning, economic leadership and respecting taxpayers’ dollars. For the fourth year in a row, Vaughan Council passed a fiscally responsible budget and kept within the mandate to ensure the property tax rate increase is no more than three per cent.
