Vaughan’s drinking water system achieves perfect inspection rating!

The health and safety of the community is a top priority for the City of Vaughan – and that includes ensuring the water that comes out of your taps is safe to drink. Well, the results are in, and, once again, the City received a 100 per cent inspection rating from the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP)! 

 

Leaf and yard waste collection starts in two weeks

Spring is officially here, which means it’s nearly time to start seasonal yard work. And to help you get rid of all those extra materials, the City of Vaughan’s weekly leaf and yard waste collection is back soon! Starting the week of April 16, the City will pick up yard waste materials every week on your regularly scheduled collection day. Biweekly collection will begin the week of June 11.

We’re planning improvements for McNaughton Road West

Through a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study, the City of Vaughan has been assessing potential improvements to McNaughton Road West, between Major Mackenzie Drive and Falvo Street – which could include adding sidewalks, cycling facilities, trail connections, intersection enhancements and more.

Vaughan Animal Services (VAS) is dedicated to creating a safe community for pets and their owners – which includes offering microchipping services and rabies vaccines. 

 

Book an appointment to bring your pets to the microchip and rabies clinic at the Vaughan Animal Shelter (located at 70 Tigi Crt., Unit 47) on Sunday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call the City of Vaughan at 905-832-2281 to schedule your timeslot. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
