Weekly leaf and yard waste collection starts soon!

Got lots of leaves? We’ve got the solution! The City of Vaughan’s leaf and yard waste collection is moving to a weekly pickup schedule starting the week of Oct. 15. That means staff will collect your yard waste materials every week on your regularly scheduled collection day.

Before you place materials at the curb, don’t forget these collection day tips:

Double-Up Days are back!

Place up to six garbage items curbside

Check your calendar – the City of Vaughan’s Double-Up Days program is back this week or next week, depending on your scheduled collection day. Instead of the regular three-item limit, you can place up to six garbage items curbside, and no paid tags are required.

But first, here’s a refresher on what you need to know to have a successful collection day:

Keep track of your waste collection schedule with the Recycle Coach app!

Wouldn’t it be handy to have your waste collection schedule available on your smartphone or tablet? Well, you’re in luck! The Recycle Coach app allows you to view your collection schedule, search what waste items go where and get notified when it’s time to put your waste at the curb – and much more!
